I won't lie. I honestly transform into a kid when I'm in Toys R Us. But no longer do I hang out around the Barbie doll section. Instead, you could easily find me in the "it don't matter what sex you are" section. You know, board games and hoolahoops and foam swords. Let me just say, WHY AM I NOT A KID ANYMORE?!

I want one of these!

And I seriously want one (or more) of these!

(bwahahahaha now my cousins will never bother me again)

And this is just plain cool okay.

(I had this Kelly doll whose hair was supposed to change when you wet it, but it never worked. This will work though, and it's much cooler than a Kelly doll.)

This would be just for the heck of it.

I mean, even my sister agrees that having a Toys R Us bus would be cool.

You obviously did not pray much for our school, like I asked you to before, but I won't hold it against you. This year's CQTEO might have been the most fun I've ever had at a tournament, but too bad it had to be so GG.

We sent two teams this year, being one of the only schools that did so, with two adjudicators - Kirtana and Aqif (which in the end became Roshan instead). I was paired up with these two ~~wonderful gentlemen~~ GG fellas in SP B, which in the end didn't fare as well as SP A. We only won.. wait for it... one round (dum dum dummmmmm), whilst SP A won all 5 (naturally). The 4 rounds that we lost all had close margins though, and that sort of makes things better, though for once, one is not such a pretty number anymore. But oh well, our total speaks looked relatively well, and my individual speaks are fine (ranked 53rd with 374 speaks). So all we can do is look towards the next competition, which is HELP, I think.

But putting that aside, it was still sad for SP A (who broke first) to lose at the semi-finals. And because of that, it was SDAR VS DU in quite a boring finals with DU emerging as the winner. On the other hand, Taysher's thumb theory has been proven.

But putting all THAT aside, CQTEO 2012 was still pretty amazing...

They had CQTEO masters this year (which was the funniest shit ever)

Tharma and Kelviin both got into the top 10 best speakers.

And besides that,

It was pretty sh-mazin', I have to say :)

We all started off the day with a lot of enthusiasm, then ended with less. Team A won all the rounds today, naturally, and Team B won only the third round. The first two rounds were really close, I swear. If only we hadn't looked past those tiny details, we could have won! And I just feel terrible that the only round we won was the third one, and even that was an embarrassment to the Harry Potter fandom. I hope tomorrow will be better lah. No, it HAS to be better, and we HAVE to win all the rounds tomorrow otherwise we won't be able to break. And you know how badly I want to break, right? Pray for us, please.

Got bumped down to second team today when Don reshuffled the teams. So now I'm in Team B with Acap and ZQ, and Jeanette switched spots with me so she's with Tharma and Kel. It's quite impossible to relate news like this without sounding somber, even though I'm pretty okay with the idea. Jeanette deserves to be in Team A, and I could use a little hard work to bump Team B up the tabs (Y) :) Tomorrow we'll be having training at KDU, after Mr. Ong's retirement. I wish I could be more involved with his retirement, because it seems like everyone is really going all out, but I don't have the time. I couldn't even help with decorating today. :( The sacrifices that come with debate mannn. Oh well, at least I don't need to worry about homework for the next week.

3 more days to CQTeo. Our first team is Kelviin, Tharma and I; second team is Jeanette, Asyraf and Zhi Quan. Kirtana will be adjudicating, and probably Aqif will too. I can't wait for it. Anything to get out of this mundane cycle of uncompleted homework and teachers trying to teach students that are all in the holiday mood already. Of course, a week later, I'll probably be back here moaning about being locked up in my house with nothing but reruns, but that's later.

Life's long battle, ey. I'm just neutral right now, it's like the happiness and aggravation in me have balanced out themselves and created this unfeeling me (remember neutralization in lower secondary science?). I'm just so frustrated that I didn't think of this earlier, but I always thought that ASDC would be in June or July, and everything would be ladidah, having my piano exams in May so it won't mess my schedule around during November, when I'm supposed to be relaxing. But the gods just don't like me that much, do they. ASDC is on the 27th of May till 8th of June, and my piano exams start on the 28th of May. JUST WONDERFUL.

Now all I can do about this is to see if Yamaha will let me postpone my exam to the November date. If not, I might have to watch RM270 go down the drain, then offer to pay for the November exams. What else can I do? I'm determined not to let skipping ASDC be an option. It's ASDC for gods sake! I can. not. miss. this. competition. I just hope that things will turn out alright in the end.

But besides that, I'm in the first team again, but for cqteo this time :D So far, the only ones confirmed to be in the (non-breaking) second team are Jeanette and Asyraf. It's obvious for Jeanette, but I was really surprised to hear Acap debate. He was damn good, compared to his performance in Wira. We have gave birth to a starrrrrrrrrr. Hahahah but yeah, we're all proud. 1 junior down, a few dozen more to go (we can do this!). Don said he would confirm the 3rd member of the second team with us tonight, so most of us are pretty curious - it's between Kirtana and Zhi Quan. anticipationnn
